Bollywood’s Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, will be playing an important cameo in the upcoming Telugu flick Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. And recently, the film’s director revealed that the star has completed shooting for his portions. Director Surender Reddy wrote, “It’s a wrap with Big B. What an amazing and incredible journey it has been. Thank you sir for being part of Sye Raa. Working with you was such a great honour.”
Amitabh Bachchan will be seen making a guest appearance as Gosayi Venkanna, Uyyalalwada Narasimha’s mentor in the film.
Interestingly, Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep, who is also a part of this magnum opus, began shooting for the film recently. He wrote, “Dear friend Chiranjeevi, that majestic super star and icon from the world of Andhra and Telugu cinema, requests for a guest appearance in his magnum opus, on a most valiant period character that he portrays, and I agree. So, I am off to begin its shoot in Hyderabad in a few hours.”
It may be noted here that the film unit had completed a major schedule in Georgia where they had shot the all-important war sequences. The sequences are expected to be a visual treat for the audience. The team will be completing the rest of the schedule in India.
Sye Raa is being bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crores. It has a bevy of stars from different film industries including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. R. Rathnavelu is the cameraman for this film, with A Sreekar Prasad editing it and Amit Trivedi wielding the music baton. It is a trilingual that will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
